Respected citizens of Hwaseong!

Greetings.
I am Bae Jeong-Soo, newly elected as the Chairperson for the latter half of the 9th term of the Hwaseong City Council.

First, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families of the Hwaseong Aricell factory fire accident.

Taking on such a significant responsibility during these challenging times, I feel a heavy burden.

Respected citizens of Hwaseong, numbering 1.02 million,
With only six months remaining until the launch of the Hwaseong Special City, I have contemplated
how the newly established Hwaseong City Council should present itself to you.

For the latter half of the 9th term of the Hwaseong City Council, I promise three key aspects:

• First, a council that truly embodies its role!
• Second, a council that works together with its citizens!
• Third, an open council that promotes communication and harmony!

To keep these promises, all twenty-five members of the Hwaseong City Council will do their utmost to ensure that the citizens' intentions are accurately reflected, adopting a humble stance in observing the lives of our citizens.

We earnestly request the unwavering interest and support of all 1.02 million citizens of Hwaseong.
